American Type Blends
High End Full English Type Blends:
Aromatic:
ABC (Any Bodies Concoction)
A blending of Cavendish cut light and dark,
aged and heat cured. Vanilla flavored Virginia's. It is the
Mildest Blend I make in Aromatic's and a Heat Cured Hand
Natural Cased Cavendish and as Mild of a Smoke you could ask
for. It was really Named after Albany Business College since
it was the Only Blend the Dean would smoke there and was just
made for Him and if you like very very Mild Aromatic's Blends
you will just Fall into Love with this one and was made in
1980 and a Great Seller and Smokes Mild and Milder as you go
down in the Bowl. A sleeper of a Blend and Smoke that my Son
Smokes alot and He loves it and always has since the Birth of
it.

Black & Gold
Like a lot, this named blend is a combo of
black & gold Virginia tobaccos. The difference is the
quality and mixture of these tobaccos. A very Different
Aromatic and blended with Virginia's in the Black and Gold
Ribbion Cut and then with a Cased Cavendish in a Stoved making
it a Mild No Bite what so ever and a very super Supreme Mild
Aromatic Blend and with a great Flavor on the Milder side and
really nothing like it ever made for the Pipe Smoking Market
and this is a Blend that anyone can smoke and enjoy and has
been around for over 27 Years since I made this Blend for a
Customer on a Private Blend and it got so Popular its for sale
now.
Center Square
This is a Burley-Turkish, Latakia, and Perique
blend. Not mild, but medium strength for the non-Virginia
smoker. Really made for the True Burley Smokers without any
Virginia at all and a Burley Turkisk Cut and then with a Full
Bodied Cut of Latakia and a Amount of Perique and making it a
Mid Bodied Meduim Strong and not with alot of Bite to it but a
Kick to it while smoking it and a Mild and Soddle Favor and
its Very Easy Going and and a Great Buring Speed and
with a Banshee of a Whirlwind to it, and Named after Center
Square in Albany and a Old Land Mark it is and a Wonderful
Place to Smoke it and that is how it got its Name.
Civil War
A different aromatic, smooth and low bite.
Has a great taste and aroma. Packs and burns exceptional,
combining many pure flavorings in a Cavendish cut. Nothing

This is a mix of Flue cured Virginia's, Cavendish
cut, Virginia Flake and a mild amount of Latakia. A gentle
all day American English smoke. A very Deliteful All Day

Pleasure and a Hand Cased Cavendish that just makes it a
wonderful Smoker and Great for a Aromatic Smoker that whats
just a hint of Bite to it and no Tonque Bite what so ever and
a Mild Slow Burning Blend and Cut with a Flake that makes it
one of the Best Sellers I can make by my own two Hands.
It's a Lu-Lu

flavored Cavendish and Cherry & Crème
tobacco's. If You love My Peach this will really get you to
Love this Special Blend and a Pure Vanilla Hand Cased all
Natural ,and with Real Cherries and only when in Season and
with a Hint of Creme and very Mild and Super Hard to Make and
Blend and a "Lu-Lu" of a Blend and that is the
Reason it has that Name and No Bite and Burns to a Fine White
Ash and it Smokes as Great or if Not better than any of the
Aromatic's that I Make and if You love Civil War and Peach

for.
Lark St.
This is a mixture of one of 1930 American English
with one of our favorite aromatics. Imparts a good aroma. It
was Named For a Street in Albany, New York which is Famous and
this Blend is a Blend going back to 1932 and has Never changed
and a Very Special Aromatic indeed it is and a Deliteful ,Meduim Bodied with a Hint of Steeped Cavendish and a Cased
Press Cut and a Wonderful Bodied and a Peach of a Smoke and
Tobacco's just are'nt made like this Blend and if you Like a
Mid Bodied Slow buring Aromatic this would be the Blend for
You.
Madison Ave.
Named for the street the shop was on from 1949
to 1980. Stoved and flue cured Virginian with a vanilla overtone
combined with Cube for a good outdoor slow burning smoke. A
very Popular Blend it is and a Old Made Blend by Myself and
Cut with Vanilla Bean's and then a Cubed Burley and Stoved and
Flue Cured Virginian making it a Very Unquie Blend and a Great
Slow Buring Blend and a Hint of Vanilla from the Beans it is
Cased with and a One of a Kind and Mild and a Great Slow
Buring and Smell to it and Smokes Like no Others.
Magic #12
Another 1930's store blend of one of our American
English with additional Cavendish, broad cut Burleys and our
secret aromatic. Different, try it you might like it. It
dates all the way back to the 1930's from My Store and it has
never been changed and a American Mild English with a Hint of
Cavendish and Broad Cut Burley and my Secret Casing on the
Cavendish and making it one of my more Unique Blends from
Myself to you and a Surprizing Spring Taste with a Hint of
Mildness compared to no others. A must not miss on my list.
Mansion Hill
Named for one of the older areas of Albany,
but blended in the 1980's. 3 different aromatics with just
a hint of peach, nuts, Cavendish, Broad Cut and Cube to give
it a long, gentle all day smoke. Wow a Hint of Peach and
Hand Cased and Nuts and a Cube Cut to Slow the Burning Speed
Down and a Lite and Great Smelling to Others and a All
Day Smoker Blend and Lite and Burns right and at the right
Speed Time and the Hints of Nuts and Peach that are time
Taking to Make this Blend and it is a Long Process to Make it.
Its Worth every Smoke every Time ,a Lovely No Bite Non Adcity
Blend and a Great Burning Speed
Mel's DPE
My take-off on an old Boston blend that has
been around since the mid 1800's. It's a medium strength with
Burley, Cut Virginia and Cavendish tobaccos. Quite Frankly
there is nothing like it and has'nt been for over 40 years and
a Really Different Mild Aromatic and a Med Bodied and a very
likeable Taste and Smokes just like a Dream and its only a
Three Tobacco Blend and the Old Blends where all made like
that years upon years ago and most likley something your Grand
Father would have smoked and smoked and smoked since Alot of
the Old Timers never changed there Blends ever once they found
a Blend they like and this is One of those Blends for a Fact
and a Smoke you will remeber, just from the Smell of it . Nice
and Easy and a Superb Smoker Blend.
Micronesian
Cube Burley, White Burley, Virginia, Cavendish
and Perique make this one a gentle Escudo type American blend.
No Latakia., It really is a Direct Copy of
"ESCUDO" and a Hard one to make and I beleive No
other Hand Blender has tried to make it and I have been making
it for years upon Years and a Really Same Taste and a Great
Great Seller and Just Burleys in the Cube and White and a
Perique and a Virginia, and a Cavendish that makes this Blend
Most likley one of the best Copys of any Blend going and Order
it by the Pound for it cures well and even gets better with
Aging and a Blend not to miss.
Naturale
"Puffers", this one has no Latakia
or Perique. Smokers of old say it is like the American domestics
of the 1920's and 1930's. A combo of Cube, Broad, White and
Cavendish cuts. Gentle and pure. Its the Old Timers Blend and
really One of the First Blends Made by The Smoker Pipe Shop
and has been around for 70 Years and a Natural Based Cube
Burley and a Broad Cut of Burley and White Maryland Cavendish
and a Cased Cavendish that Smokes So Lite and a Non Bitting
All Day and Nite Smoke for it is really That Mild and a Nice
Grey Burning Ashed Tobacco in the Chamber and it is neither
Harsh or Weak in Taste and Just Right and alittle Bit of a
Fruity Taste to it and Smell to it from the Cased Hand Cased
Cavendishes That I Cased and it is a Refreshing Smoke and this
is What your Father and Grand Fathers Smoked in the 1920's and
1930's and its a Very Refining Taste to it and Refreshing as
all of my Custmers tell Me that it is the Same as the Day it
was Fist Blended in 1932 from The Smoker Pipe Shop in Albany,
New York and has been a Stable Blend of Mine for over 70 Years
and that Speaks for itself
New Barrister
Named for the many lawyer pipe smokers in the
area. 3 different aromatics, Cube, Broad Flake and Latakia
make this one a gentle yet forceful aromatic, like some of
the lawyers I know, but not all, and a nice Almost Full
Bodied Aromatic and with the Cube Burley Cut really making it
a Different Aromatic Blend and a Vanilla Cased and Lemon Cased
and Coffee Cased Cavendish's just make the Cut right and
really Packed with Flavor and a nice lite Punch to it and alot
of English Smokers love it and cut with the Broad Flake making
it a Mellow Blend, Nice and Forceful and Full of Flavor.
New Highland Fling
A couple mixtures of 8 different tobaccos',
7 aromatics with a Cavendish cut Virginian. Some bite but
imparts a great aroma. With a One of a Kind Cavendish's and
7 Different Hand Cased and a Bite to it and a Great Taste and
Smell and then Cut with a Virginian for the Burn and it is
really Different and a Great Seller and there is just Nothing
Like this in a Aromatic Blend anywhere and Lite and a Little
Bite to it and Smells Great and Aged and Just a Unique Blend
by Me and Made and Cased by Hand and a Blend not to be missed
out of!!!!!!!
Peter Schuyler
A black vanilla cased Burley Cube, broad cut
and white blend with a Cavendish cut Virginia added to smooth
it out. Mild to medium, Mid Bodied Flavored and a Punch to
it and cut with the Cube Burley and a Broad Cut Burley and
then a Pure Black Vanilla Bean Hand Cased to it and a really
Sweet Mild and Bold Taste and Packed with Flavor and Bold and Bright
and a Pure Cased Natural that is refreshing and Bold. A must
try for a Really Different Aromatic Blend.
Pine Hills
A blending of black vanilla and American redi-cut
& cubed burlies. A local favorite for almost 30 years.
Made
from the Finest Cuts of Cube Cut Burley and was Chosen for its
Deep ,Nutty Flavors and forms a Robust Foundation for this
quite Sophisticated Blend. Rich Cuts of Cube Burleys with a
Hint of Black Toasted Vanilla added for a very subtle
sweetness and a very Complexity of a Blend for over 30 Years
and a Kiss of Vanilla for just the right Taste for a added
Deep Dimension, and it polishes this Blend just to the Right
Taste and that is why I have been making and Selling it for
over 30 years, "The Perfect All Day Smoke"
Poor Richard
A Burley, Virginia, Latakia, Perique and Cavendish
blend with a special aromatic for aroma, but does not hinder
the taste. Medium strength. Its alot like smoking the Old
Dunhill Stanard Mixture Meduim and it is a Fairly Dark Looking
English Blend and this Blend burns real Easy and Slow and a
Graceful Smoking Blend and it has a Good Amount of Latakia to
the Blending Ratio to the Pound and the Blend is so well
Balanced and in Such Good Proportions that it just Stands Out
for a Mild to Meduim English Blend and Its Quite Full Tasting
yet Rich and Complex and a Sweet Virginia just mellows the
Whole Blend out and Yet it is Shocking Strong yet not being a
Harsh Blend at all and its easy on the Tonque and and Burns
very Cool and Since Very Tobacco Blend in it is a AAA Ribbion
Cut it burns nice and Slow and easy on the Mouth and Tonque
and it burns to a Fine White Ash and that is what Great
Tobacco's are made of and the Room Aroma is Decidedly Pleasant
,Natural and Sweet Smelling and Spicy and a Famous Smoker Pipe
Shop Blend that You will Really have to try , a Winner all the
way around and a Wonderfully Hand Blended English Blend that I
am Very Proud to Make
Prelude
Combining a mixture of 3 of our favorite aromatics
to create this rich, good smoking aromatic. This is really a
Odd Ball Blend that has Our Pipe Smokers going wild over it
and a 3 Blended Aromatic and was made just for One Customer
and Then I started making it and Selling it in the Store alot
, so it became a Stable of My Blends in 1984 and it is a Sudle
Sweet ,Mild and Silky Smoking Blend and all Cavendishes and in
the Lite and Dark Casings that i use and a Hint of Vanilla and
Liquorice and a Mild Caramel Flavor to it and Very Lite
Smoking and a Easy Smoke for anyone to Smoke and all in a AAA
Ribbion Cut Tobacco's and They are the Best Money can Buy and
always burns Easy and to a Solid White Ash and the Smoke is
Mild and a Very Smooth Smoke and a Soft Smoke with a Hint of a
Sweet Aroma and all non Smokers find it really Pleasant . It
is Very Mild and this Blend has its own Group of Pipe Smoking
Aficionado's that Have been Pipe Smokers for over 30 Years and
thats a Great Blend for Smokers that have been Piping for so
Long and Just a Wonderful Blend to Make for Myself and Have my
Customers enjoy.!!!!!!
Proctors
A cube-broad cut Burley mix with Latakia and
a pinch of Virginia Flake. Tobacco like the American blend
of the 1930's. It is a Dark looking Tobacco Blend and of a
AAA Broad Cut Burley and mixed with alot of Latakia and just a
Hint of the Virginia Flake so it burns nice and smooth and
easy. Its a very Rich appealing, slightly Spicy Aroma that is
reminiscent of Roasted Nuts. The Aroma is very Fragrant, and
albient in its unique Latakia Blending Skills. It is quite
Simple and it is a English Blend and Heavy in Flavor and Taste
and Aroma. What most of my Customers like about this Blend is
the Aroma and it does translate into the Smokes Flavour, but
not to what you would expect, so it does'nt come off as a
Strong English Blend and this Blend definitely has a certain
Complexity and originality, but the Smell and Taste and
Bouquet are Sudtle and overall the Flavor is surely one you
will just love and Not too Strong and not to Weak and just
Right for English All Day Smokers , Its Nutty and Spicy and
Dark and Rich and a Blend that has been around for over 70
years and is here to stay thats a Fact!!!!!! It is named After
the Famous Proctors Theather in Schenectady New York that is
just one of the Niciest Theathers from the late 1890's
Royal Irish # 51
Another American 1930's store blend. This is
a mix of light and broad cut Burley's, Cube, Ribbon cut and
a moderate amount of Latakia. Reminds a smoker of a favorite
Irish tobacco because it's in it. A bite, but great aroma
and taste. You will be very Surprized by this Blend and it
is a Very Heavy English due to the amount of Latakia in it and
although not heavy enough to annoy yourself while smoking it
either. Its a Meduim Looking Blend and not as Dark as you
would think and a Broad Cut Burley Based and then cut with
Cube Cut Burleys that was pressed and then cut to slow down
the Burning Speed and alot of Latakia and it just makes it a
Shocking Full Smoke, and it tastes like a Gutsy English Blend
with relatively no Bite what so ever to it. Very easy to
exhale through the Nose, but yet not overwhelming, but there
is alot of oddity to this Smoker Pipe Shop Blend . Its very
pleasant, and Easy to smoke and and Burns clean and easily to
a fine Grey Ash. As for the Room Aroma it smells just like a
English Blend should and with just that touch of Sweetness for
a Aroma and a Stable Blend for The Smoker Pipe Shop for over
40 Years .
Sailor's Delight
Blended for some of my naval customers. Has
Latakia, Perique, Turk, Virginia broad cut and Cube Burley's
in it. It's different. It was and still is made for alot of
My Navy Customers that still Smoke and Buy my Blends from all
over the World. This is a Meduim Bodied Latakia Blend with
Perique and a Turkisk and Virginia Based and all of the Cuts
are in the AAA Ribbion Cuts so it is a Long Leaved Cut Blend
and a Slow Burning smooth to the Taste and burns to a Fine
Grey Ash. The Dominant Flavor is Latakia and it is Smooth and
Dark in Taste and slightly Mellow by the Use of the Turkish
Ribbion Cut . It is the addition of the Turkish to the Blend
that just makes it a Pure Pure English Based Blend and it is a
Super Easy Blend to Smoke and get use to it. The Turkish
affects the Body of the Blend making it a lighter and more
livley tasting Blend and it also makes for a More Sharper
Smoke to the Taste too. It is a Relative Smoker Blend that
remands the Taste and Smell and Aroma to it and a simply
Smooth Smoking English Mid to Meduim Blend that will leave you
always ordering More and a True English Blend and that is What
I Love to Make and Blend is English Blends and I will
always leave the Blending of Aromatic's to Michael for thats
all he smokes .
Smokers Passion
A mild aromatic with Cube, Broad cut flue Virginia
& Cavendish. Also two aromatics. A cool-mild aromatic.
It is a Lite Looking English Based Aromatic and almost a 50%
and 50% mixed Blend from the Smoker Pipe Shop and upon opening
the Package there is a Rich and Very Appealing, and Slightly
Aroma that is reminiscent of Nutts upon opening this Blend and
getting ready to smoke it. It is a Slow Burning due to the
Cube and Broad Flue Cuts of Burley in it and then a Viriginia
in the Ribbion Cut and a AAA which is the Best Tobacco Money
can Blend. Made with but not 1 but 2 Cased by myself
Cavendishes and Michael my Son cased them and they are very
Super Mild and a Pleasnat Smoking Appeal to it and a low level
of Moister and this is a very Fragant Aroma Blend and in its
albeit unique Burley Blend Fashion that will just remind
yourself of the way some Aromatic's Should Smell and it smells
great while just smelling it and smoking it. What you will
find out alot by smoking this Blend is the Aroma of the Flavor
and Lite and Mild and No Bite and with a great appealing Aroma
to it you just can'nt go wrong with this Blend ,and this Blend
certainly has the Complexity and Originality that makes it a
Smoker Pipe Shoppwe Blend and made back from the 1950's and a
Winner it is indeed.
Smokers Whiskey
A Cavendish, mild Burley, Danish Whiskey blend.
This has a mild bite but pure Canadian Cube whiskey. It is a
Medium to some what Darkier Blend from the Smoker Pipe Shop
and a Real Cased Canadian Cube Cut Burley Cased in Real
Whiskey and then blended with a Cased Rum Cavendish and a Dark
Rum Casing and a Mixture of a AAA Ribbion Cut Burley. So it is
a Course Cut and Cube Cut Blend and the Pouch Aroma is just
like a Smell or Aroma of a Sweet Caramel Whiskey Blend, just
Like a Cake from a Bakery. When smoking it is it not as
powerful as you would think and it smells just like a Blended
Rum Cake from X-Mas Time. It has a brown sugar character that
compliments the Based Burley and somewhat of a Toasted Flavour
that is very well from overtaking the Blend. The Balance of
this blend is just great and between the natural sweetness of
the Burley and the spicy notes to it while smoking it provided
by the Burleys. Its a real Smooth Smoking Blend and Mild in
Strength and Mild in Body also. It is a Semi-Smooth Sweet
Smoke to the Taste Buds, and the Room Aroma is quite Sweet
Smelling and Aromatic, it burns to a fine pepper and salt ash,
and its not like any other Aromatic's and just a wonderfully
done and refreshing, stimulating Smoke it is indeed
Sol's One
The original owner of "The Smoker"
blend. A Latakia, Cavendish, Virginia, Burley, and Perique.
After work blend, great with a cup of Joe. It dates Back to
all the way of the Year 1932 which this Blend was made and
Named after Sol who Made it and One of the First English
Blends made and a Middle to Heavy English which Sol loved and
a Heavy Bodied Latakia and Cut with a Tad of Perique and Cut
with a Natural Cased Cavendish to Mellow it out and it really
does and then Some Virigina Golden and a Burley Ribbion which
makes a Great Afternoon and Nite Smoker and its one of the
Oldiest Blends I still Blend and just Delitefully Sinful
State Capital # 17
A 1930's original blend of Virginia, Cavendish,
Burley, Latakia and Perique. It's been enjoyed for over 70
years. It is a Deep Dark brown Blend in Looks and with a
Mild to Meduim Body and a great Cut of Virginia's in it to
give it that added sweetness and its a sweet and pungent,
vermouth like Aroma to it and Hints of Rum to it also ,and a
very faint background of sweetness to it while smoking it.
Indeed it is a Spicy Blend and pretty Full Bodied while
smoking it. A Meaty Smoke I would call it with the added
sweetness to it and the spiciness gives it a kind of false
lightness to it while smelling the Aroma unlit. After the
first Quarter of a Bowl while smoking it you will realize that
you are smoking a reasonably strong relaxing Tobacco Blend by
the Smoker Pipe Shop that has been made for over 72 years. It
has a good Dose of Perique and Latakia . Unflavored the
Natural and assertive taste leans more to sweet than salty
,but more Salty than tobacco-musty. However Each of the
Blending Tobacco's elements are all present while smoking it
and with none being more predominant that the other Blending
Tobacco's so it has that even Edge to it while smoking it.
There is not alot of Change while smoking this Blend and not
any change of the Flavor either while smoking it. It does
become a tad sharper and fullier and smokier near the Bottom
of the Bowl. You will like the Full-Strength-Semi sweetness to
it so much and the after taste is spicy and extremely Clean
and it is just pure 100% Tobacco and nothing added to it Like
all of my Blends are all Natural . While a slighty sweet and
not-smoky scent remains in the Aroma in the Air for the Room
Aroma. The Room Aroma is very Clean Smelling, but quite
pronoucned. A excellent Blend for a jaded palate, and looking
for some excitement while smoking it this is the Blend for
You.
Stockade
A pure black vanilla Virginia only. It is the
Close Match to the Old Captain Black and a Straight Cased
Vanilla and in the Ribbion AAA Cut Viriginia and then Cased
and Toasted and that is why it is a Almost Solid Black Tobacco
and the Vanilla Casing is Very Mild and a No Bite nor Acidity
Blend and has Been around for over 45 Years and is Named after
the Stockade Fencing that was made and Invented in Schenectady
New York during the 1700's and a Blend that Burns so Well and
Smooth and the Flavor is a Pleasant Smoke and does'nt Smoke
Wet at all and it is a impresses Me Smoke since My Son Michael
Smokes it all of the time and He loves it and its a Light and
Dark Cavendish, and it emits a Strong Sweet Vanilla Aroma
where ever You smoke it, and Nothing Like it and a Wonderfully
Deliteful Blend it is
# 64 The Traveler
Another original 1930 Smoker blend using Burley,
Flake, Latakia, Flue Virginia, and Cavendish. Medium full
blend. It is a Hand Made Blend from the Smoker Pipe Shoppe
dating all the way back to 1932 and one of the First Blends
made by Myself for the Smoker Pipe Shoppe and has been a
Staple of my Blends for over 70 years. It is a 75 % Lite and
25 % Dark Hand Blended Tobacco using a Ribbion Cut Burley and
a Flue Cured Virginia and a Virginia Flaked and of Course
Latakia .Its contain's a Good Amount of Latakia that gives it
the Medium to Full Bodied Smoke that it does Deliver. The
Flavour is some what Heavy and a Smooth Smoking Blend with a
Hint of a Bite to it and with a Smooth Latakia Based Smoke,
and mellowed out by the Flue Cured Virigina's and Flaked
Virginia's and then cut just right with the Ribbion Burley
Blend. You will appreciating the Thick Smoke and Body to it,
and it is a Taste wise Choice for New English Smokers and
Nonetheless it is a High Quality Blend and a Great Smoke in
Big Bowled Pipes and due to its wide Cuts of Tobacco and Slow
Burning Characteristic's. It does smoke Cool and Dry and all
the way Down to the Bottom of the Bowl leaving a Nite Lite
Grey Ash. It will leave you craving more so it can be a all
Day and Nite Smoke and only from The Smoker Pipe Shoppe that
will leave you waiting for more of it for Sure.
Tracy
A good amount of Latakia with Cube, Broad Cut,
Perique and Cavendish. Full strength. It was name after John
Tracy who Ran the City of Schenectady NY for Years and Years
and a Big Big Pipe Smoker and it is a Full Flavored English
Blend for sure . So welcome to a Full Flavored English Blend
and it is roughly a 60% of Dark Tobacco and 40% of Lites
Blended Tobacco's with contrasting coarse Cut , and long Mixed
Ribbion Cut and a Cubed Burley and Loaded with Latakia and
Perquie and not for the Lite English Smoker at all. It has a
Strong ,Leathery, almost Salty Taste and Scent in the Mouth
and makes a quite enticing Smoke for a fact. All Hand Blended
and all Natural Tobacco's without any Chemical's what so ever
at all!!!. It is a Earthy, Stout, Spicy, and anything but
Bland at all, Its Flavor is unequivocally intense and lacks
the Tonque Biting at all. It makes a great Blended Tobacco
Choice for the New Pipe Smoker that likes intense Taste
sensation's, such as Chocolate, Espresso, and Dark Beers and
great with a Stout and I can say that for a Fact. The Perquie
used in its balance is excellent balanced here in this Blend.
Just enough to produce that Spicy Pepper Taste and not over
bearing on the Tonque at all . Its a Rich Full Bodied Smoke is
very Consistent from the Start to Finish and Fairly Smooth and
Dry Tasting with little Flavor Change all the way while
Smoking the Whole Bowl, and its gets a little bit Spicy
towards the Bottom. This Produces an Unmistakable Heavy
Latakia Aroma, that you just may have to apologize for those
sharing the Room with you unless they are Pipe Smokers also, A
Great Hand Blended Blend from the Smoker Pipe Shop and Not to
be Missed
Twin Towers
Mixture of Burley, Cavendish and Flake tobacco's
with a pinch of special aromatics. Reminds you of a 1930 blend
American tobacco. In addition to its Heavy ,Natural Tobacco
Scent, two seemingly seperate aroma's rise out of the mound of
this Meduim Dark Brown Broken Flaked, and One that is which a
Floral and Garden like Smell and another which will remind you
of a Brown Sugar. This Sentence could serve as an introduction
to an Aromatic Cavendish which it is and a Burley Cutted Based
with a Flaked Virigina Aged and a Special Pinch of a Secret
Blending Tobacco that I have been using For Years and that is
Called "BLENDERS X" . It is very close to the OLD
Style Amphora Red which isn'nt being made anymore and there is
nothing like it being Made thats for a Fact. Its more
mysterious and could'nt be used as a Potpourri. The flavor
here is akin to its Pouched Armora ,and a earthly,
unapologetic tobacco taste with a equally deep Fragrance on
the Garnish. The sweetness is always Present while smoking it
and has a some what strong Bitter Sweet Taste to it while
smoking the Whole Bowl and it does Develops Strenght while
Smoking it and becoming a Fullier and Mustier Smoke, and then
a Clean Burning Blend during the Bottom of the Bowl. You will
find this a intense sweet nutty musty balancing act quite
compelling while smoking this Blend . This is a Rich Smooth
Sweet and Nutty Aromatic Blend and Small Puffs are very
Fulfilling as the Flavor is too. The Room Aroma is very
Pleasnat and Nutty and Sweet and Musty Smelling and has a
wonderful After Taste to it and Contians more than enough
Nicotine for a most Relaxing Smoke. Burns to a Lite Grey
Powder Ash and a Great Smoker Pipe Shop Blend
Uptown
A black Cavendish vanilla aromatic with Cube
Burley and flue cured Virginia. Mild-medium. You will find
this one just Tasty Strong Aromatic Blend and a Solid Black
Cavendished and cased with Real Vanilla Beans and then cut
with Cube Burley for alittle bit of Strenght and a Flue Cured
Virginia. Its really a Shocking and Surprizing Blend. The
Flavoring makes this Blend for a fact and it produces a Unique
,pungent, and sliglty Sweet Tasting Tobacco. Its quite Perfumy
on the Taste Buds and tastes Flowery on the Tonque. It reminds
myself of a Cup of Hibiscus Flowery Tea and taste just like
drinking that. The Flowery Taste resembles in some ways of
that of the Old Fashion Non English Blends made in England
around the 1910's and Tastes alot like Bosun Cut Plug and
Gawith and Hoggarth Tobacco's. The Comparison's ends here at
the Perfuminess though. Its really a Mild Sweetness on the
Tonque while smoking the whole Bowl and very Mild and Tasty
indeed. If you like Sweet Smelling Blends and with No Bite and
a Very Nice Room Aroma this is the Blend indeed for yourselve
and it is Mild and Burns to a Fine White Ash and this is One
of Michael B Feldman's Favorite Smoking Blends while smoking a
Pipe out in Public for everyone enjoys the smells of this
Blend for a Fact and One of the Better Selling Blends this
Year and it is Named after I moved the Store to Uptown Albany
New York so it was made in 1980 and still making it and
Selling alot of it latey.
Washington Avenue
A medium strength English. A combo of Latakia,
Turkish, Perique, Ribbon and Flake tobacco's. Mostly Virginia
tobacco. This is Named after where the Smoker Pipe Shoppe
was since 1980 till 2002 and it was right next to the State
Capitol Building's. Puffing on this Blend is just Pure Heaven
and One Bowl of this Blend is one of the Finer Things in Life.
It provides a Meduim Flavor from the moment it recieves the
stroke of a Match. This Dark Brown and Black Blend is Loaded
with Latakia, and a Ribbion Cut AAA Turkish and then Cut with
a Good Amount of Perique and a Flaked Viriginia to give it a
One Match Bowl for it will smoke all the way Down on One Lite.
This Tobacco is quite Rich and Heavy while smoking it, and as
is its Aroma, owning that to its High Latakia and Perquie
Contents. Still , it contains enough Virginia to have a lively
Flavor. The People around you while smoking it will not even
Bother them since it is Great Smelling Meduim Body English
Blend and it really does Smell Great for a Room Aroma. It will
remind you of a Camp Fire while Smoking it from it smells it
gives off. It burns super well, smokes really smooth, and
produces a Fine White Ash and Does'nt Burn the Tonque at all
while smoking it. Its Slight Bitterness is Perfectly Balanced
by it slight Sweetness , Not only is this Blend great in Briar
and also a Clay or a Corn Cob Pipe as well and a Winner Since
the 1980's
Woodlands
One of the most popular blends of The Smoker.
A blend smooth with Latakia, Perique, Stoved Cake, Red Virginia,
and Ribbon Virginia. Smooth and tasty. Try it you will enjoy
this blend. A very Heavy Dominanted Blend that has a
Sweetness to it and it is a Full Bodied Smoker Blend and one
of the Most Popular to Date and it produces a Rich, Dark,
Latakia Flavor to it and without the Bitterness to the Blend
and its a Heavy and Lively Blend and Smokes Sweet from the
Start to Finish and with a Hint of Perique and Any one that
enjoys Heavy Bodied English Blends will surley love this Blend
. Its burns nice and easy and to a Grey Dark Dry Smoke and it
is a Dandy of a Blend. This is one of the Only Blends I smoke
myself and Fred Goldring is a big time and long time Smoker of
Woodlands and just ask Fred. This is One of the Closest Blends
to Frog Morton and every bit of it
Wyatt Earp
This one is a nutty tasting, mild blend. Great
burn and gentle. Its really a Different Type of Blend and
Cased with a Very Nutty Tasting Casing and thats a Secret for
a Fact. Its a Lite Ribbion Cut in the Long Ribbion Cut and a
AAA Cut Blend which is the best Tobacco that Money can
by and was made in 1996 by my Son Michael who smokes it and
Made it for himself and its a Lite Non Biting Low Acidity
Blend with no Bite and Packed with a Mellow Lite Flavor of
Nutty Spices and its a Mellow Sweet, grassy and peppery
Smoking Blend and was Cased from Virginia AAA Ribbion Cut
Tobacco and thats Why everyone that Smokes it Just says
!!!!!!WOW!!!!! and truely a Smoker Smoke Shop Blend and was
made in the Store by Michaels own two Hands
American Type Blends:
Barrister # 666
Another 1930's store blend. American type with
a hint of a secret aromatic. Slight bite but still an all
day blend. Room Aroma: Sweet, fruity ,If you don't like a
heavily aromatic blend— the kind that makes everyone say
"My, that smells great"—stay far away. It smells
like an oversized strawberry sundae to me, in the tin. The
tobacco is a dry and unusual mix of several cuts, which makes
it look rather random and a bit like potpourri. You'll see
some ribbon-cut, some broken flake, a few long dark strands
and a little larger-cut light leaf all tossed together.
There's some serious blending going on here. When I light up,
I am awash in that coconut-vanilla flavour that predominates
in Sweet Vanilla Honeydew. The fruit scent
(strawberry-apricot) comes through strongly as well, enough
that I find I'm always smelling it while smoking, at least
during the first half of the bowl. Though this isn't the kind
of tobacco I smoke often, I sometimes find it refreshing in
hot weather when I am less drawn to some blends that I usually
enjoy. It smokes like a Danish black cavendish, dry,
slow-burning and mild, and just a little zesty. It does have a
pleasant, medium body that is a degree or two fuller than its
actual strength. As a rule, it doesn't bite, but hurried
puffing can push it to do so. It's not strong in nicotine, but
it tastes so intense that it's a satisfying smoke on that
level. The casing does melt down somewhat toward the bottom of
the pipe, leaving a darker, more tobacco-like taste that
lingers on the palate for some time. It burns to a whitish ash
with a few black flecks in it.
Basic
Reminds you of the tobaccos in the 1930's.
A mixture of Burley, Cavendish and small amount of Latakia.
Great all day, in and out door blend. This Blend is really a
Old Times Smokes Delite and smokes cool and dry without a Bite
and not a Heavy Blended Tobacco at all. I have sold this Blend
since 1932 in the store and have over 459 Customers that order
it all the time and it is all that they will smoke so it is a
great Tobacco and a Large Seller for Me. The Burley is a AAA
Ribbon But which is the best Money can buy, The Cavendish is
also a AAA Ribbon Cut and cased by myself and smokes cool and
dry and lites easy and not a Tobacco that goes out and a slow
and slow smoking Tobacco, and then just a hint of Latakia to
give it the Small Taste of a English Lite Bodied and Cool and
Dry Smoking Tobacco. If you try it and all i can say is you
will also Order it and a Bodied of Smell that is deliteful to
everyone and a Inside Smoking Tobacco for a English Blend and
a hint of Dunhill 925 to it and just a Delite to make and
Blend and Sell to all of My Customers and even my Cat loves
the smell to it
Black Noble
It's been in the shop since 1931, and that
should speak for itself. Medium strength outdoor type tobacco.
Slow burn with great lasting taste. First of all this is as
Balkan Type Tobacco Blend and not just the traditional English
Blend. In my opinion this blend carrys the spirit of the Old
Stuff with it, if not it is a undefinable richness and body,
making it a damn good blend for a Blend that isn'nt made
anymore and its as close as you will get, without any bite to
this Blend. The Oriental is there but it is a Lite Oriental
Blending Tobacco. The Latakia is a Very smokey one and adds
the mustyness to the Blend, you will get no bite with this
blend. It packs and lites very easy and burns down to a
powdery Dark Grey Ash and the Mositure content is just perfect
. It is just a rich based Tobacco Blend that makes it such a
enjoyable Smoke. It is a Meduin Bodied Blend and a Rich and
Complex Blend that has been being made since 1932 so it is a
75 Year Old Smoker Pipe Shop Blend.
Black Shaggie
A mixture of 6 different tobacco's, Cavendish,
Burley, Latakia and Virginia's light and dark. Gentle with
a woodsy aroma. Its a completely unique Tobacco in any Pipe
Smokers experience. The Sweet Thickness of the Cavendish and
then the Stickiness of the Light and Dark Virginia's and the
very subdued flavoring of the Latakia just Blend into this
Pipe Smokers Blend just perfectly. There is no excess Heat or
Steam or Tobacco Slop in the end of this Bowl while smoking
it. Just Gorgeous Clouds of thick chewy white Smoke while
smoking this Blend and Super Consistent from begining to the
end of the Bowl while smoking it. It is truley the Work of a
Master Blender of Years and Years. It Packs great in the bowl,
it lites easy and burns great. A true master Blend
Centennial # 16
1930 again. This one is a complex mix of many
tobaccos's that have made it a favorite in the former shop
for 70 years.
Contential # 202
1930 revisited again. Medium strength Latakia,
Burley, Virginia, Cavendish blend. The olde timers love this
one. A fairly 60-40 Ratio of Dark to Light Tobacco Blending
that gives it a very eay Lite and Burning Ration and a AAA
Long Cut Tobacco in Ribbions and this is such a well Balanced
Blend that it is very close to Dunhill Standard Mixture with a
such great balanced Tobacco's that makes it a a Smooth and
Full and a Rich Tasting Tobacco Blend. It has Earthy Tones to
the Taste and Smell and not a Sweet Tasting Tobacco and in the
Middle of Meduim Taste and Smell. Its easy on the Tonque and
burns very cool and dry, it does'nt become harsh at the middle
or Bottom of the Bowl . It burns to a fine Grey Ash and leaves
the Room with a Great Smell due to the Cavendish and smell
Sweet and even a little Spicy. A true 1930's Blend Tate and
Smell and a Easy Smoke that leaves You happy.
Decision # 1080
This one was blended in 1949 when the shop
was located at 1080 Madison Avenue. Hence the name. A semi
aromatic - Latakia based tobacco before hardly any one thought
of doing this type of blending. Still liked and being bought.
Wise Fox
A medium strength Burley, Cavendish, White
Burley, flue cured Virginia and Latakia. In "The Smoker"
for over 40 years. A Dark Mixture of AAA Ribbion Cut Burley
and a AAA Ribbion Cut Cavendish cure and Made by myself, and a
White Burley in the AAA Ribbion Cut and a Dark Flue Cured by
Myself and Michael my Son and then a Ton of Syrian Latakia and
a Meduim Assertive Flavor to it that does'nt Over Power the
Bite nor Tonque and Very Very Gentle of a Smoker's Blend and
Burns very Slowly because of the Ribbion Cuts and the
Percentage of Latakia and I recommend not packing this Blend
very tight in the Bowl for a Gentle Touch packs it Fine and
brings out the True Flavor of this very very Unique Blend Made
by My own 2 Hand for over 40 Years and a Wonderfully True
Great English Blend that Sells about 50 Pounds a Month on it
own
High End Full English Type Blends:
Easy Chair
A bright - red Virginia with a good amount
of Cyprian Latakia blended with a mixture of Turkish, fire
cured Virginia and Perique. Good later in the day and evening
smoke. Well it seems like every New York State Trooper
smokes this Blend and it is a Great Full Bodied English and a
Great Amount of Latakia and Perquie and then cut with a Fire
Cured Ribbion Cut Viriginia and then cut with a Turkish and it
has proved itself over and over to be a Great Full Bodied
Blend and just ask Capt Lefveter for he Smokes it all of the
time and all Day and Nite and and then add to it a Red
Ribbioned Virgnia and that just makes it the Perfect Full
Bodied English Blend you will find and has been around for Me
and the Store for over 22 years and a Real New Yorkers
Favorite.
Embers
A mix of ribbon-stoved Latakia with just a
pinch of Perique. Great after a full steak and dessert meal.
Exclusive
A mix of full dosage of Latakia with Ribbon,
Caked stoved, Flake and red Virginia's with a small amount
of Perique and Turkish to give you the spice needed for a
blend like this.
Exotic
A blend with a copious amount of Turkish and
also Latakia and Virginia's, with a hint of aromatic.
Extraordinaire
A blend with a hint of Ireland, Latakia and
Virginia's with Turkish and Perique. Your taste buds will
wake up with this one.
Favorite
A medium full Red Virginia with a good amount
of Latakia, Perique and Turkish. A great finish for a good
day.
Fireside Revere # 33
One of the oldest blends in house (1930). Only
pure Latakia, Turkish, Ribbon, Flue and Cavendish cut tobaccos.
No Perique, a flavorful and enjoyable full English blend.
Legacy
Another newer blend using the best in Virginia,
Latakia and Turkish blending tobaccos'. Smooth but full
strength. Its not for the weak at Heart on Full Strenght
English Blends and all in the Broad AAA Ribbion Cuts in the
Virginia's and Latakia and Turkish Blending in this is for
sure a 75% to 25 % Cut Blended Ratio and it is not a sweet
Tobacco while burning nor Aroma either. The Flavour is Heavy
while smoking it and it does'nt have much sweetness to it from
the Virginia's either and it was made that way for Full
Strength Smoking Customers. It is a thick Smoke and not as
Strong as the Smell of the Aroma that is a fact and this Blend
is very Difficult to describe because it is definitely a Full-
Bodied English Blend. Fuller Tasting than almost any Blend on
the Market Place and it is a High Quality Blend and well
suited to Big Bowl Smokers. It burns dry and cool while
smoking it and all the way Down without worrying about it
going out and leaves a light grey ash as its residue. It is a
very good bite free and relaxing smoke and a all Day Smoke as
most of my Customers that buy it smoke it all day and nite. It
leaves a Heavy English Room Aroma ,but I do doubt it can be
called Offensive, A wonderful Smoker Pipe Shop Blend and one I
do smoke myself all of the time and I love Heavy English
Blends
New York - New York
A medium strength English with all the goodies.
Smooth and flavorable.
The Fred Goldring Special
This Blend is Named after a Wonderful Man and
Pipe Smoker Fred Goldring and it is just like him and it is a
Strong English Blend and a Full Bodied Flavored and Just like
Fred for he likes alot of Latakia and Perique and Since Fred
has been a Customer of My Blends since the 1970's and smoking
them for over 30 years and Just one of the Niciest Men in the
Pipe Smokers Community and a Wonderful Family Man and Friend
of Ours it is Named after him and What can We say here at The
Smoker Pipe Shoppe but Fred Deserves a Blend named after him
for Sure for 30 Years and 100's and 100's of Pounds of Tobacco
he has smoked of mine it is Well Deserved. Thank Fred for all
you are and All you have Done for the Pipe Smokers Community
and For everyone.!!!! Not an all day blend because
of a liberal amount of Latakia and Perique combined with Ribbon
Flake Virginia and a pinch of Turkish. This is One Heavy
Latakia and Perique Blend and its is a Heavy Thick English
Based Tobacco and just with a Pinch of Turkish and then
blended with a Ribbon Flake Virginia for alittle bit of
Sweetness. It is a suprizing Blend for its hints of Sweetness
while smoking it and its Rich and Musty and a Wonderful Blend
and once you start smoking It you will just love its combined
Flavors and the Richness of the Latakia and Perique and its
Bold and a Zip to it while smoking it and you will always
remeber the Richness of the Latakia while Smoking it. You will
consider this to be a Full Bodied English Blend ,but not a
weak one thats for sure. The Smoke is Smooth and Rich and not
Heavy on the Tonque at all. It starts out with a slight Tang
that fades after the first 1/5 of the top of the bowl , and
with no Bite. It has a strong Sandy Taste on the Palate and
sometimes grassy and lemony on the Taste Buds due to the Red
Virginia's. It will remind you of the Old Balkan Types for
sure. The Room Aroma will affect the smell of the room for
sure and you will know you are smoking a heavy English Blend,
and it burns Perfectly to the Bottom of the Bowl leaving a
Fine Grey Ash and Thanks Fred
North East
A blend developed in 1981. Ribbon, Flake Virginia's
with Perique, Latakia and a flue cured Virginia. Medium full
blend.
Number One
This is a combo of Turkish Supreme with additional
Perique, Latakia, and Ribbon cut Virginia. For the Turkish
smoker who also enjoys Latakia.
Olde' Virginia
A mixture of Ribbon, Red Virginia and a liberal
amount of Perique. Not as potent as Saint James, but will
be enjoyed by Perique lovers.
Primo
A Virginia-non Perique Latakia based tobacco
with Ribbon, Cake, Stoved and Red Virginias. Some bite but
tasty.
Red Virginia Supreme
Like the name this one is mostly Red Virginia
with a good amount of Latakia. Also Turkish, Perique, Ribbon
and Flake to make an enjoyable medium full blend.
Richmond
A pure Cake, Stoved, Ribbon mix with a medium
amount of Latakia and a pinch of Perique for a little spice.
Medium strength
Ride the White Waters
A moderate amount of Latakia with Red, Ribbon
& Flue Virginia. Also Turkish and Perique for a medium
blend.
Saint James
For the smoker who likes Perique. Also has
Latakia, Virginia and Flake. Not only its Name ,but the
Descriptor "This One Blend will get Ya" . It is most
likley the Most Perique Laden Tobacco made and Still made to
this Day, and you have the Virginia's and Flakes and Perique
bouncing off of each other to produce one of the Fulliest
Richiest Smokes on Today's Market Place and a Old Time Blend
and not for the weak at Heart for Pipe Smokers. The Virginia's
in the Blend just add a Hint of Sweetness to it and it does'nt
overwhelm the Perique and Latakia and that is a fact. It has
the Bodied while smoking it of a Full Bodied Cigar and burns
to a nice White Greyish Ash and a Strong English Room Aroma to
it while smoking it and it is not overwhelming to the Taste
Buds either. If you are not a lover of Full Strong Bodied
English Blends then this is not the Blend for You and if you
are a Lover of Piquancy you will just love it. It is a most
relaxing Blend at nite time and or at the Bar with a Bottle of
Stout or Remmy Martin and it is one of the most Consistent
Blends I do make and a Great Seller and Full Bodied and Flavor
thats a Fact for Sure.
Saratoga
A pure Virginia, no Latakia, Perique or Turkish.
Only cake stoved navy Flake, pure Ribbon Virginia. Loved by
Virginia smokers.
A ready-rubbed blend of various Virginias, containing about
50% darker tobaccos along with lighter golden and reddish
flecks and strands. It's a long and short medium-cut blend
that includes the occasional piece of broken flake. One advantage
that some bulk hand-blended mixtures have over their tinned
counterparts is that the different ingredients remain somewhat
separate, which vreates a flavour that is more complex than
unified. This is the case here, where there is a wonderful
complexity of flavour, t is spicy, tart and fairly sweet,
with underlying notes that reminded me vaguely of cloves of
cinnamon. The tartness is particulary noticeable during the
first 1/4 - 1/2 of the pipe, as it leaves dryness in the mouth
not unlike some wines or a glass of lemonade. When I first
tried this, the tobacco seemed rather dry (the way I usually
like it), so I tried it that way, found that it had quite
a bite to it. So I humidified it somewhat and - guess what
- it still bites. So I accept it for what it is, It's only
a light to medium-bodied smoke that seems to have a fairly
low nicotine content, but its distinct flavour makes it seem
fuller than it is at times. I can't smoke biting tobacco all
that frequently, but this one has an exciting, delicious flavour
that makes it nonetheless worth smoking from time to time,
and is exceptiionally refreshing on a hot summer day. Despite
it's sharpness to on the tongue, it paradoxically doesn't
seem all that harsh when exhaled through the nose. When I
tried inhaling it the smoke came off more as hot than harsh.
The best thing to do is just savour the flavou slowly and
keep it just barely burning. This mixture burns fairly well
but when it does extinguish, it still tastes good in the pipe,
with a pleasant burnt-sugar and spice taste that overrides
the taste of half-burnt tobacco. I also find the way that
the flavour develops while smoking to be superb. The flavours
of the different Virginias meld together to produce a richer,
fuller taste, and a lot of the tanginess experienced at the
beginning of the smoke subsides. Meanwhile, the sweetness
of some of the tobaccos in the blend concentrate and introduce
a carmelized flavour that was barely existent earlier during
the smoke. This blend would probably be best appreciated by
Virginia aficiandos who enjoy tobacco with a bit of bite and
lots of flavour. It burns up clean and dry to a fine ash that
ranges in color from pale grey to almost black, accompanied
by a small amount of dottle. It has a distinctive aroma that
smells light and sweet in the room, without being aromatic.
For me personally, this is a perfect example of a mixture
that is obviously blended with skill, and whose taste I enjoy
very much
Senate
A 30 year olde' blend English with Ribbon,
Flue, Red Virginias and Turkish Latakia and Perique for smoothness
and taste. There is a Very Rich Spicy Aroma to this Blend
and always has been since the Mixture and Blending of this
Blend has not Changed since 1932. This is a Very Fragant
Tobacco due to the Red Virginias and that is where the Spicy
Aroma comes from and a Nutty Taste to it. Its not a Cased
Tobacco at all and for it is a True English Blend. What you
will find outstanding about this Blend is the Smooth Cool Dry
Smoke and the Aroma and burning to a fine White Ash and a Same
Smoker from the Start of the Bowl to the Finish of the Bowl
which not alot of Tobacco's can say or make Proof of that
Statement at all. You will love the Nutty Taste to it the
Aroma and the Smoking Ability's to it and its a Great Meduim
Bodied Blended English and a Ribbon Cut all the way around the
Blends of Tobacco's that makes it a Easy Lite and Burn and
what a Aroma to it and a House Smoking English for sure
The Smoker
This is mostly a blend of Latakia with Turkish
and Ribbon Virginia. One of the favorites. This Black and
Tan Mixture of Blends is One of the Favorite Blends that I
have ever made. Its mostly Latakia and not for the Weak at
Heart when smoking a True English Blend and it is Strong and
without the Bite or Acidity , and for those that like the
Flavor of Dark Latakia Blends you will surely welcome this
Blend for yourseleve and a Turkish Ribbion AAA Cut and with a
Ribbion AAA Cut Virginia for making it just a Sweet and Spicy
Blend and a Great Burning Blend and a Room Aroma of that Musty
English Latakia Smell that you just know you are smoking a
Heavy English and the Turkish gives it a Sweetness of almost a
Scotch like Taste and Aroma at Times, Its a really smooth,
relaxing ,slow burning smoke, with just a hint of sweetness
and a Slight Dry Taste to it and really has the Classic
Latakia English Aroma to it. One of my Best Selling English
Blends and that is why it is Called the The Smoker
Turkish Supreme
Mostly blended Turkish with Ribbon Virginia
and Latakia. Another medium full blend.
Woodsman
A Red Virginia, Latakia, Turkish, Flue cured
Virginia with a small amount of Perique. Full strength blend.
